IS WORTH BUYING!!!
Seriously, the game is frigging fantastic! Its completely open word, awesome characters, beautiful designing(monsters, towns, people, ect), excellent controls, and the maps are. Frigging. HUGE. From one end of the map to the other will take 45 minutes on horse back. ALONE. Plus they're making new maps with sub quests, treasure hunts, witcher contracts and other sorts of goodies in expansion packs for the next four years. For free.
One new map.
For the next four years.
All for free.
ITS WORTH IT!!!
The only thing I find a pain in the ass, however, is crafting and alchamey. If you don't have the manual or have the internet to download it; its a pain. Its not easy to find stuff unless, like me who hate spending thirty game hours looking for a stupid plant, have a book that says 'hey listen! it's over here by a hidden treasure!'. Plus, you can't cancel quests and if you leave the area(White orcher to Novragar) it'll be considered failed and you don't have the option to start it over. Including witcher contracts and treasure hunts. Gear can be hard to get because your frigging broke all the time or missing the crafting items to make the darn thing with a missing crafting diagram. But they do make it up by making quests to find better and stronger gear so that makes it easier. But leveling up is a pain. It takes so long to even advance one level(it took me two hours and four retries to get to lv. 2) but it a way; its good.
If it was too quick, people would've beaten it within four hours and not in 800Hr+(not including the main story).
That's what I'm doing at the moment...playing it. It's fun.
The english voice actors suck. Do polish with english subtitles. Way better and avoids un-wanted parents attention when they swear up a storm and other 'naughty' scenes.
